Day 1: Arrival and Kigali city tour
Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will meet our professional driver-guide. He or she will brief you about your 7 days Rwanda Kenya trip. You will go for lunch and embark on an afternoon Kigali city tour. This is a chance for you to learn about the history of Rwanda as you visit historical sites such as the Genocide Memorial Centre. Visit the local markets and interact with the Rwandese witnessing their hospitality. You will also enjoy the tranquility of Kigali – Africa’s cleanest city.
You will check in to your earlier-booked lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After a delicious morning breakfast at your hotel, check out and embark on the drive to Volcanoes National Park via the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village. The journey involves driving through Rwanda’s endless hills as well as lush green vegetation. Make stopovers in the trading centers and taste the local foods.
You will visit the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village and take part in the traditional dances, preparation of local meals, making crafts, etc. You will have lunch here and you may grab something from the craft shops to remind yourself of this trip always as well as give back to the community. After the briefing, you will be grouped and assigned a gorilla family to trek. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park is such a rewarding experience. It involves walking through the thickets and enduring the slippery trails of the park. With the help of experienced Rwanda tour guides, you will be able to locate the designated gorilla family. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend an hour in their presence. You are allowed to take as many pictures as your camera can store, however, follow the gorilla trekking rules and regulations strictly.
In the afternoon, return to your lodge for a late lunch and spend the afternoon over. Make the most of the lodge facilities such as the bar, restaurant, and swimming pool. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali and Fly to Nairobi
After a morning breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on the ride to Kigali International Airport. You will then fly to Nairobi as you wait for the next activities in Kenya. Your Kenya driver-guide will be waiting for you. He or she will meet you and take you to your earlier booked lodge for overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara and visit the Masai Villages
After a delicious morning breakfast, check out of your accommodation and embark on the drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is the home to the great wildebeest migration – the world’s largest animal migration on Earth. Drive through the endless savannah plains of Kenya while enjoying scenic views of the neighboring area.
Upon arrival, you will take on the magical Masai Village tours and learn about Africa’s indigenous cultures. The Masai people are hospitable and unique in their way. Take part in their day-to-day activities, dance with them, and dine with them. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full-day Game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Like the mountain gorilla trekking day, the wildebeest migration experience is a great day on your 7 days Rwanda Gorillas and Masai Mara Safari. Your day starts with a lip-smirking breakfast at your lodge. You will then go for the full-day game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will witness the great Mara River crossing and may witness calving if it is the right season. The park is home to multiple species of birds and animals; lions, leopards, wild dogs, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, name it are all here.
A picnic lunch will be organized by your lodge and enjoy a drink in the bush right in the middle of nowhere! A sundowner at a water source can as well be organized as you may advise.
In the later hours of the day, you will return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer back to Nairobi – Departure
Breakfast comes at leisure as it is your final day on your 7 days Rwanda Gorillas and Masai Mara Safari. You will then embark on the journey to Nairobi. You will have an en-route lunch. The driver-guide will drop you off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight or any hotel of your choosing in Nairobi. This marks the end of your special 7 days Rwanda Gorillas and Masai Mara Safari.
