Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour
After breakfast at your lodge in Kampala or arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you meet our driver guide. He or she will brief you about your 12 days Uganda safari. You will take on the Kampala city tour and visit local markets. Visit historical sites such as Kasubi tombs and the Buganda kingdom palace. Lunch will be at any hotel around the city. Dinner and overnight in Kampala.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, you will drive to Uganda’s largest and oldest national park – Murchison Falls National Park. You will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Lunch will be in Masindi town. Upon arrival, check in, have dinner, and spend the night.

Day 3: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise, and hike to the top of the falls
After breakfast, go for a stunning morning game drive in the park. You will encounter lions and other big 3 animals. The park is a perfect birding area for bird lovers. Return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go boating on the Nile River. See crocodiles and hippos. The boat will drop you at the bottom of the falls. From here, you will hike to the top of the world’s strongest waterfalls. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale National Park – the Primate capital of the world. Lunch will be en route and stunning views of the Rwenzori mountains will accompany you to the park. Upon arrival, check in, relax, have dinner, and spend the night over.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk
After breakfast, go for an extraordinary experience on your 12 days Uganda Safari in Kibale National Park. Chimpanzee tracking includes walking through the thick forests of Kibale in search of chimps. Upon meeting them, you will spend an hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch. S
In the afternoon, go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland area. This is a true birders’ haven and home to multiple Rift Valley endemics. You will also interact with the local members of the community. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Explore the Crater Lake Region and Visit Amabere Caves
After breakfast, you will take on the Crater Lakes tour, explore Amabere caves, and hike to the top of the world. You may visit the Fort Portal area to explore Uganda’s tourist city. In the evening check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Uganda’s most popular park – Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive via the Uganda Equator for pictorial moments. Upon arrival, have lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. You may go for a nature walk in the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, you will take on the drive in the Kasenyi sector of the park. You will see elephants, buffaloes, and many bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. This will introduce you to aquatic species of the park such as the Nile crocodiles and hippos. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Morning game drive in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will take on an en-route game drive in the Ishasha sector. Here, you will see tree-climbing lions roaming the sector. There are several birds in this region as well. You will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at your earlier booked lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community tour
It is such a great day on your 12 days Uganda Safari. The day starts with a morning breakfast and pre-gorilla trekking briefing at the park headquarters. Gorilla trekking will begin there and then. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend an hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the evening, you will visit the local Batwa communities and dive into their life. Take part in their traditional activities. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo and evening boat cruise
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Lunch will be en route. Upon arrival go to the lake for an amazing boat experience. In the evening return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
Start your day with a relaxed breakfast. Check out of the lodge and embark on an en-route game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Explore the park to the maximum while seeing zebras, antelopes, and several bird species. You will continue to Kampala with a lunch stopover and one at the Uganda Equator.
The driver will drop you at a hotel of your choosing in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of your exceptional 12 days Uganda safari.
