Top attractions in Uganda.

Mountain gorillas. Mountain gorillas are some of the most iconic animals visitors in Uganda can set their eyes on. The iconic gentle giants live in Bwindi impenetrable and Mgahinga national parks in the South of Uganda.

There are only 1063 mountain gorillas left in the world today and Uganda is blessed host half of the population. Bwindi alone has 21 fully habituated gorilla families and Mgahinga has only one.  All these families are available for visitors to watch on a daily basis and they are not a threat to human beings unless provoked.

Getting to watch the Mountain gorillas interact in their natural habitat is such a thrilling adventure that no adventurer should miss out in a lifetime.

Mountain Rwenzori. Standing at a height of approximately 5109 metres above sea level,  mountain Rwenzori boasts of its breathtaking landscapes perched in the West of Uganda. The mountain is covered with lush vegetation and snow that lets its beauty speak for itself once someone is at the scene.

The Rwenzori mountains are a habitat to a variety of species encompassing primates,  beautiful birds, chameleons and real vegetation.  Visitors to Rwenzori get immersed in the beauty of the tropical vegetation in its naturalistic way.

Murchison falls. Murchison falls stands out as the most powerful waterfalls in the whole world. They showcase the beauty of the longest river in the whole world  forcing its way through a 7 meter wide gorge sparking off an abnormal wave. Murchison falls was named by Samuel Baker in commemoration of his boss Sir Roderick Murchison.

The falls are surrounded by beautiful vegetation including the dry savanna grasslands and the tropical rainforests of Budongo that are inhabited by a variety of animals. Visitors to the falls therefore not only get to watch the falls but also series of other eye-catching creatures.

Source of the Nile.  River Nile is the longest river in the whole world. It is crucial in the ecosystems of Africa due to various reasons. The river originates from Uganda at Lake Victoria flowing all through to Egypt to pour its water into the Mediterranean Sea. Guests to Uganda have the opportunity to visit and explore the source of the Nile, stare at the beauty of the lush vegetation in its surroundings. The dry seasons are the best times to visit Uganda. They are categorised into two that is to say the long dry season which usually runs from early June to mid-September and the short dry season that runs from December all through to late February. They are characterized by favourable weather in form of low rainfall and cool temperatures that allow visitors to explore the country to the fullest with no interruptions.
